Being a mama has so many levels doesn’t it. I will be honest, when my son left home to go to the other side of the country & into a space where regular contact was not going to be always available, it sent me to my knees. In grief, desperation & a WHOLE lot of prayer! It also caught me completely unaware & that has been one of my biggest learnings in this life.

I can see this in my husbands mum, and also being away from her grandkids.
You are happy they are off living their best life BUT also they are the little child you once nursed & the time in between seems like a micro moment.
